Because FOR MY PEOPLE – The Margaret Walker Song Cycle is such a powerful performance piece, it allows us to present it with variation to the ensemble size without compromising the performance in any way. It also allows for the performances to be presented in venues that range from small performance spaces to concert halls as well as allowing the budget for the performance to fit most presenting organizations. The actual musical program would remain the same regardless of the size of the venue.
